About Payout Verdict
Payout Verdict is an independent online casino review publication focused on Australian and Canadian players. We test before we publish — that means we open accounts, deposit real money, play sessions long enough to trigger any KYC checks, and request withdrawals. Only then do we write the review.
Why we exist
Most casino comparison sites you find on Google look the same: a list of brands ranked by whoever pays the highest commission. The bonus terms are copy-pasted from operator websites. The withdrawal times are made up. The screenshots are stock images.
We do the opposite. We pay our own money in, document every step, and publish what actually happens — including the parts that look bad on paper.
Our editor
Reviews are written and maintained by James Patel, a Sydney-based editor with six years of experience covering iGaming for AU and CA audiences. Before specialising in casino analysis, James was a financial journalist focused on consumer-finance products.
How we make money
Most articles on this site contain affiliate links. If you sign up at a casino through one of those links and deposit, the operator pays us a commission — at no cost to you, and at the same price you'd get anywhere else. See our full affiliate disclosure for details.
Affiliate commissions do not influence our editorial scores. We have listed cons even on our highest-rated operators. We have refused to publish reviews of brands that failed our payout test.
Methodology
Every brand review on this site follows the same playbook: deposit, play, withdraw, document. Read our full testing methodology if you want the details.
Who operates this site
Payout Verdict is built and operated by RedClaw, a performance marketing agency that publishes independent affiliate review sites for regulated and offshore iGaming markets. We disclose this up front for a simple reason: the worst pattern in our industry is hidden ownership — a hundred “independent review sites” that all secretly route to the same operator. We'd rather you know who runs this site than wonder.
That said, agency-owned does not mean agency-influenced. The firewall is real and is documented in our methodology page:
- Editorial decisions are made by the editor, not by the agency's commercial team. James Patel has refused to publish brands that failed our payout test even when they offered above-market commissions.
- Operator commission rates have no effect on score weighting. The methodology grid (license tier, payout speed, KYC profile, bonus EV, withdrawal cap) predates any commercial relationship and is applied uniformly.
- We publish negative findings on partner operators when warranted. The Ritzo Casino review (6.4 “Below average” with €93,374.28 + 71,335 DKK confiscation history disclosed) is a Samurai Partners brand we have an affiliate relationship with — and we still wrote the honest verdict.
If you find a case where you believe a commercial relationship has bent the editorial line, tell us and we will publish the correction.
